CareAlone Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of CareAlone, a lone-worker safety monitoring application operated by Care Human Services. By accessing or using CareAlone, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organization that authorized your access.

About CareAlone

CareAlone helps care organizations monitor worker safety through scheduled check-ins, panic alerts, supervisor notifications, device compliance monitoring, and administrative reporting. The service is intended for authorized workers, supervisors, and administrators in participating organizations.

Authorized Use

You may use CareAlone only if:

• Your organization has enabled CareAlone for your residence or role.
• You sign in with credentials or accounts approved by your organization.
• You use the app for legitimate safety, supervision, and operational purposes.

You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with alerts or monitoring workflows, reverse engineer the platform, or use CareAlone in violation of applicable law or organizational policy.

Accounts and Access

Supervisors and administrators typically sign in with approved Google accounts. Workers use organization-assigned devices and PIN-based access. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, device, and access permissions. Notify your administrator immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Safety and Operational Disclaimer

CareAlone supports safety workflows but does not replace emergency services, professional judgment, or organizational duty-of-care procedures. Organizations remain responsible for training workers, responding to alerts, and maintaining appropriate safety policies. CareAlone is provided to improve visibility and response coordination, not as a guarantee that every incident will be prevented or detected.

Notifications and Device Requirements

Reliable operation may require notifications, alarms, location permissions, background activity, and other device settings. Workers and administrators are expected to maintain device readiness according to organizational requirements. Missed alerts may occur if devices are misconfigured, offline, restricted by the operating system, or outside network coverage.

Data and Privacy

Use of CareAlone is also governed by our Privacy Statement. Operational data may be visible to authorized supervisors, administrators, and service providers required to operate the platform.

Availability and Changes

We work to keep CareAlone available and reliable, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. Features, integrations, and policies may change as the product evolves. Material updates to these terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.

Termination

Your organization may suspend or remove access at any time. We may restrict access that appears unauthorized, abusive, or harmful to service operation or user safety.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareAlone and Care Human Services are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Organizations using CareAlone remain responsible for their safety programs and emergency response obligations.
